Cape of Good Hope

Explorer Bartolomeu Dias passed here on the Cape of Good Hope in 1488 as first European. He called it Cape of Storms as a tribute to the harsh weather that has carried his ships around it. It was the king of Portugal where Dias worked for, that changed the name in something more uplifting: Cape of Good Hope.
