It was originally a Canadian National Railway facility. It was purchased by GO Transit in the early 1970s. Since then, it has undergone a complete transformation and expansion and it includes several repair shops as well as washing facilities and storage tracks. Bombardier Transportation currently has a 5-year contract with 2 options of 5 years each to maintain the trains.
