The old bridge or Romanesque bridge is a bridge that crosses the Gallo River as it passes through the town of Molina de Aragón in Guadalajara. It is a Romanesque bridge built between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, the time of the repopulation of the village,[1] which connects the suburb of San Francisco, where the Monastery of San Francisco is located, with the historic centre, in front of the Puerta de la Cava and next to the Posada de los Comuneros. [2][3] It has three arches, the central one being the largest. [4] It is built with reddish sandstone ashlars used in the parapet and the slices that separate the three eyes on the side of the rampart and small turrets on the opposite side. [5][6]
