The Mediterranean motorway or AP-7[1] is an axis that connects the entire Spanish Mediterranean coast from the border with France to Guadiaro. This motorway is part of the European Road Network known as E-15 and originally had mostly toll sections and some free sections determined in Royal Decree 1421/02, of December 27. The first section of the motorway was inaugurated in 1969 between Barcelona and Granollers. On April 1, 2018, the State rescued two sections. [2] From 1 January 2020 a part of the toll sections became free, and from 1 September 2021 the rest of the sections in Catalonia also became free, in both cases at the expiry of the planned concession period.
