MARITIME PROMENADE

One of the busiest places during the summer on the Costa da Morte is Caión's maritime promenade.
This paved path, which connects the town with As Salseiras beach, has become an area of enjoyment during the months of sun.
If you've already covered a stretch, you will understand that the trail allows you to enjoy long walks by the sea and infinite time to get lost in the horizon.
If you look ahead, you will see the cove that is made up by the Arnela, Cárcere Vello, Caracoleiro and As Salseiras beaches (the main one). In the latter, the Blue Flag usually flies, which certifies the quality of its waters and the excellence of its services. You can go down to the beach, through the stone and wood access, which is adapted for disabled people.
Behind you is the Fishing Archive Museum, located in the emblematic building of the Fishermen's Guild.
In the same vein, you also see the profile of the parish church of Nosa Señora do Socorro, which was built by the St. Augustine monks in the sixteenth century, and whose former convent is situated right behind you.
Then continue along the promenade and enjoy the fullness of all the beauty that it offers you.
