St. Cirq Lapopie is considered one of the most beautiful villages of France, and is a major tourist attraction. This is one of the most touristic places of the area Lot. St. Cirq Lapopie is a museum village almost entirely classified. It is well known by artists. One of them was André Breton, who bought and moved into the old “auberge des Mariniers” in the fifties.
Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is on the pilgirmage road of Santiago de Compostalle. More specifically on the Via Prodiensis. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is located between the previous major stop Caberets and the next major stop Cahors.
