Buslem was the place where Josiah Wedgwood was borne and where he set up his pottery factory. He is credited with the industrialization of the manufacture of pottery. His name is still associated with the “Wedgwood China”. He is also had a famous grandson: Charles Darwin, the son of his daughter.
