A variation on similar rides to increase the distance a bit. It's flat and on quiet roads.
Head out of Elvington to Sutton and stay on the B1228 until you cross Pocklington canal. Just after the canal, turn right down a small road towards East Cottingwith. Either go through the village or turn left to skip the loop, before joining Redcap Lane/Kidd Lane towards Melbourne.
Turn Right at Melbourne, pass the pub and just after leaving the speed restriction turn left to Thornton passing through Allerthorpe Common woods. Left at the end returns you to Sutton.
