Moria was an invented place by J.R.R. Tolkien, but the quarry area of Laurium is a pretty good candidate to warp the legendary spot to a real place on Earth. This tour takes you through that area around Laurium, famous for its silver mines in ancient times. The route start at one of the most beautiful spots in Greece: Cape Sounio. It brings you via several smaller roads and quarries to the town of Lauria. If you finish your tour close to sunset, I recommend you to get back to Cape Sounio to enjoy the sunset!
