The Kops Plateau, also known as Kopse Hof, is a high plain east of Nijmegen. On the south bank of the Waal it is located on the moraine that rises quite steeply from the riverbed. The Romans knew how to appreciate this moraine, because they could see the Waal, the Rhine and the entire area up to Arnhem.
