Fort Honswijk, originally called Fort Willem II, is a fort of the New Dutch Waterline and is located on the Island of Schalkwijk near the hamlet of Honswijk in Tull en 't Waal on the north bank of the Lek.
In 1841 the construction of a tower fort on the Noorderlekdijk west of Honswijk began. The tower had three floors with an open battery on the roof. This prevented an enemy from advancing to the west over the Lek or over the dike in the inundated area. The fort was completed in 1848.
