The Veendermolen is a ground sailer near Roelofarendsveen. The mill was built in 1934 on an existing substructure from 1830, for the drainage of the Veenderpolder. Between 1926 and 1934 there had been a diesel pumping station in the substructure, but it did not function properly. The polder board then decided to replace the pumping station with the current mill.
