Rochester International Airport is a nonhub primary airport located seven miles southwest of the central business district of Rochester, a city in Olmsted County, Minnesota, United States. It is the second busiest airport in Minnesota, however it is the third busiest airport for commercial airlines in Minnesota, behind Duluth International Airport. It used to be called "Rochester Municipal Airport", which was its name before adding customs and immigration facilities specifically for Mayo Clinic purposes in 1995.
The airport covers 2,400 acres and has two runways: a 9,034 ft × 150 ft concrete primary runway and a 7,301 ft × 150 ft concrete secondary runway .
