Chrystie Street is a street on Manhattan's Lower East Side. It runs for seven blocks from East Houston Street to Canal Street, and is the southward extension of Second Avenue. It is bounded on the east by Sara Delano Roosevelt Park for its entirety. It is named for Col. John Chrystie, a veteran of the War of 1812 and a member of the Philolexian Society of Columbia University.
