East Meadow High School is a public high school in the East Meadow Union Free School District. East Meadow High School was founded in 1953. The school serves students in grades 9−12. Approximately 88% of 2007's graduating class continued their education – with 60% going on to four-year colleges and 27% to two-year colleges.
In 1964, East Meadow High School competed on the NBC-TV program “It’s Academic.” Representing EMHS were Stanley D. Chess , Marta Gutenberg, and Diane Pike. The team came in second.
