Oceanographer Ross Dunbar describes the effect of Global Warming in the Ross Sea in his talk on TED.Com. He tells that the ice shelf of the Ross Sea melted about 35 times the last 4 million years. It was a surprise that it happened so many times. This ice sheet here is 2000m thick. If only this part melts of te Antarctic, the sea will rise 5-6m globally.
