Wat Phra Non in the old city of Phrae (inside the city moat) features a reclining Buddha in the vihara. Wat Phra Non has a distinctive Chiang Saen-style ordination hall with narrow openings to let in light instead of normal windows. The gable is made of wood with graceful scroll designs and comprises illustrations of the Ramayana epic. The eaves around the vihara are all fretted.
