Here you can see the peculiar and impressive wave in stone of Petromata Falakro. The curve in the sandstone is not caused by tectonic folding but reflect the old sand dunes this sand was blown on to, and petrified. You get to see this in much older sand formations such as the famous red rocks of Arizona. In Arizona, these were huge land dunes. This formation comes from smaller but not less impressive sea dunes.

The Wave in Stone with round concretion in the front is described on some tourism websites as solidified lava from a volcano. Although you do find a lot of volcanic rocks on Lemnos, this formation is in sandstone, and definitely not a volcanic rock. But it not less impressive and beautiful because of this!
