This route takes you through and above the area where a lot of Westerns were filmed. The most famous one being Once Upon a Time in the West by Sergio Leone. The centre of this area is the town of Taverna. This is also the start and endpoint. The route takes you up to Calar Alto, also famous for its climb in the Vuelta. It offers you some great views on the Taberna desert.
