Bike ride through the extremely northeastern Dolomites near the border with Austria and Slovenia. We cross the village of Lorenzago where Pope John Paul II spent his holidays. We pass the blue lake of Sauris with its imposing dam that we cross. Stefan Schumachter, but also the Belgian Flandria rider Marc Demeyer once won a stage of the Giro in this region. Nearby is also the terrible Mount Zocolan (13 km at an average of 9%). Let us wisely ignore this beast of hell. We face the Passo di Maurio, the Passo di Pura and the Sella Ciampigotto.
