Short Kortenberg loop (2km)

This Short Kortenberg loop is only 2km long but offers beautiful views of one of the 3 landing slopes of Zaventenm (Brusssel National).

Set your GPS/smartphone on Kortenberg, Van Gramberenstraat, and drive it to the end. Park your car there and start the loop on the left.

With some luck (Southwest wind) many aircraft will land here (runway 25L); or see it take off in a northeasterly wind (runway 7R). Take your picnic there and enjoy the landing planes.

Then take the curling right and follow the runway to the left of the landing lights, towards the planes. You get right on a radar station; You can pass it and along an artificial path made by the hikers through the field 100m far back on a field track. Take the right and keep following it. On this way back you can see the planes approaching.

And short flat (so pleasant with the children) but nice loop with, and few hollow roads, for a picknik in good weather.

A must-do with the right wind direction with the children!!
