Description by the author

Walking route Zegelsem. The walk starts at the Sint-Ursmaruskerk, opposite the "In den Drijhaard" We are at the white-painted Sint-Ursmaruskerk, built in 1783 in the classical style. The west Gothic tower, built partly of brick and partly sandstone, dates from the 13th century. The church, which forms a beautiful and balanced ensemble, has a predominantly rococo interior. The organ was built by the famous Van Peteghem family of organ builders. It is also worth mentioning the painting "Mary in Heaven Recorded", which would come from the monastery of the Grey Nuns of Oudenaarde and is attributed by some to Gaspar de Crayer. The marked trail stretches largely on paved roads, but also contains a few strips of dirt road that are muddy and heavy after a rain shower.
