The head of composer Joseph Haydn was stolen during his funeral by admirers (Rosenbaum and Peter) to measure the music capacity from the skull.
On the death of Rosenbaum and Peter, the skull was passed to the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde. The head stayed here for a long time, till it was reunited with the body in 1954. That body was burried in the Bergkirche of Eisenstadt.
That was completing the 145 year long burial process of Haydn.
