Starting from Redland Bay, you are right next to the waters of Moreton Bay with the little-visited Southern Bay islands of Russell, Lamb, Macleay and Karragarra just a stone?s throw away. This unspoilt pocket of Brisbane still retains much of its simple charm. Redland Bay ? aptly named because of its fertile iron-rich soil ? has long been a rich farming region and along much of the ride, you will pass micro and hobby farms, some with cattle while others sell their organically grown fruit and veggies from farm gate stalls.
