Cronulla to Parramatta

Travelling between two of Sydney?s most historic places, this ride should be on every Sydney cyclist?s ?ride to do? list. Obviously it can be done in either direction though for this book we will begin in Cronulla. Riding in this direction means that you are riding ?uphill? but seeing as the highest point is only about 50 metres above sea level it?s only a psychological thing. Captain James Cook first ?discovered? Australia near the beginning of this ride in Kurnell and the first inland settlement was formed at Parramatta, or as it was then known, The Crescent. So this ride takes in two of the most important places in the country?s history.
