Now we enter the heartland of this ride. The Cooks River meanders through parklands and suburbs to its source near Rookwood cemetery. The gentle incline ensures an easy ride and the wildlife provides plenty of interest. Moving away from the Cooks River, you drop down into Flemington. This is an excellent place to refuel, before heading into Section Three.
