The Western Ring Road is no fun by car, but if you head out to Roxburgh Park on the train with your bike, you can enjoy a virtually uninterrupted ride around the western suburbs along a shared path and back towards the city via Newport. The majority of Melburnians have probably never ridden this path and have missed out on a big part of the metropolitan area. To finish off after leaving Newport, you can jump on the punt below the Westgate Bridge and head to Port Melbourne
