The Gothic St. Benedict's Church is the oldest parish church in the city of Mortsel in the Belgian province of Antwerp. It is enclosed between Kerkstraat, Sint-Benedictusstraat, Wouwstraat, Dorpsstraat and Rubensstraat, and has been recognised as a monument of immovable heritage.
The history of St. Benedict's Church goes back a long way. In the year 1150 there is mention of this place of worship, more specifically in a papal bull. This is referred to as the "altare de Mortezele".
