The Hovaeremolen is a windmill in the Belgian municipality of Koekelare. The mill is a stone mountain mill from 1923.
In 1711 a post mill was built on the site, for grinding grain. In texts from 1711 one finds "in den N-O houcke... den meulenwal en d'erve daer den Ovaremeulen staet... Den Wulfsfaertsdyck aen den Noordsijde...". In the parish registers of Koekelare, the name Hovaere and related names are common. It is unclear whether the mill was owned by a Hovaere or whether the mill got its name because many Hovaeres lived there in the hamlet.
