The parish church of the Maeterlinck family; here also took place the funeral of his brother Oscar (1891) and of his parents ; all are buried in a preserved family grave in the cemetery of the Wondelgemdries, near the right side wall of the church. Cyriel Buysse, At the funeral of Maeterlinck's mother, 16 June 1911: "In the spacious St. Anne's Church, where, according to traditional custom among distinguished families, wheat straw was spread on the church floor, many people had come to attend the ceremony."
