Description

This burrough of "Patershol" was a bad area during the fifties. The area started to change between the year 1965 and the year 1975. A clever entrepreneur came up with the idea to start a restaurant here called "The Wise and the Crazy guy". It was the start of a big success. One after the other restaurant opened its doors here.

This burrough became the cullinairy experience of Ghent. You find all types of restaurants: good and less good, cheap and expensive.

The city Ghent took the wise decision to limit the number of restaurants, so the area kept its style, which made it so attractive. A new restaurant can only be opened when anotherone closes its doors. Currently, you can still find more than 20 restaurants in this small area.
