This place is traditionally known as 'the lime tree'. It was a traditional resting point for the people of Hoeselaren who went to the market of Tongeren with their merchandise. This is where the borders of Hoeselt, Werm and Hardelingen came together. The boundary marker was erected in 1685 and bears the coat of arms of Prince-Bishop Maximilian of Bavaria.
In the chapel there is a statue of 'Christ on the cold stone'. It is a representation of Jesus awaiting execution. Despite the fact that this fragment of his life is not to be found in the Bible, the veneration of the suffering Christ occurs in many places.
