The spring stream valley on your left was formed during the last ice age. The coppice grove at the edge of the forest is the spur of a beautiful piece of spring forest with giant horsetail, duckberry, beetle orchid, dotter flower, slender primrose and hanging sedge. In the soil there is still a thick layer of peat.
The meadow to the right near the edge of the forest is extensively grazed by the sheep of an organic farmer. It shows the first signs of spontaneous reforestation. After all, young trees sprout in rough corners, and a hem of blackberries and shrubs forms along the edge of the forest. Thus, the sharp boundary between forest and pasture gradually becomes blurred.
