In the stream valley of the Statte lies the Rock of Bilisse (Rocher de Bilisse). This impressive rock formation is about half a billion years old and was formed when the massif came under great pressure from younger sedimentary layers between 280 and 400 million years ago. As a result, the massif was pushed up vertically in different periods. The rocks peak tens of meters up in this stream valley.
