St. Martin's Church, a protected monument, is a Gothic building of local iron sandstone, with five naves, a protruding transept, a polygonal closed choir and a heavy west tower with floors of sand-lime stone. The church forms a harmonious whole, despite the differences in the building materials used and construction activities over the centuries. The original pointed tower was replaced by a blunt roof after a fire in 1860. The interior is decorated with paintings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Wezemaal was a place of pilgrimage in the late Middle Ages. In the church there is a statue of Saint Job, who was invoked against incurable diseases, pustules and skin diseases. At the back of the church is the beautiful baroque choir gate of 1626, with bars made of brass. Each bar bears on the quadrangular base an inscription indicating the donor and his coat of arms.
