The Beeuwsaert mill dates from 1635. In 1830 the mill went up in flames as a result of a lightning strike. It was immediately rebuilt and then sold to the Beeuwsaert family, hence its name. At that time, the building had three floors, a "three-attic" that experts call it. During the first gas attack in 1915, the 'Moulin Bleu' was completely destroyed. It was rebuilt with the parts of two other mills that immediately made it one of the largest in the region. Beeuwsaerts mills operated until 1959. In 2010 the mill was completely restored.
