Description

Liedekerkebos is located on the territory of the municipalities of Liedekerke, Sint-Katharina-Lombeek, Borchtlombeek and Wambeek. In the area flow from north to south the Hollebeek (also called Bellebeek) and the Kruisbeek, in addition to numerous canals. In the southern part is the 'Radio-Electric Center' where various masts were erected. Along the network of mostly perpendicular roads there are often rows of trees with here and there devotional chapels. The area is enclosed on all sides by buildings and borders the direct Brussels-Ghent railway line in the north. On the north side of the demarcation, near the Hollebeek, is an embankment with ruins and some chapels. At the end of the 18th century, the priory of Muylem still stood on this site.
