Protected monument - Chapel dedicated to Saint Servatius, patron saint of Berg - calendar of saints 13 May.
For centuries it was one of the patrons of pilgrims from the surrounding villages of Kampenhout, Elewijt and Perk
to walk around the chapel three times, praying to have the evil fever of a sick person removed. Moreover
they tied a ribbon of the patient's undergarments to the bars of the chapel door.
The choir side of the chapel is in white sandstone and much older than the upper part in brick. Judging by the wooden statue of Saint Servatius that was located in the chapel and that must have been carved around 1500, the construction of the first chapel could be situated in that period.
On August 18, 1963, the district received a new larger chapel on the other side of the Kampenhoutsebaan, in the direction of Elewijt. For about forty years there were two worship services here on Sundays. At the beginning of the third millennium, the new chapel was sold and carefully converted into a modern home.
