The Caraway is not an animal but a plant! It can be recognized by its light red or white flower heads that grow up to 7 cm wide and are composed of 15 to 25 different "rays" (individual flowers). The leaves of the Caraway are pointed, with a white tip that turns into a short "needle".
This plant smells a bit like Parsley.
Caraway lilies grow best in sunny to slightly shaded areas. You can find them in grassland, along the banks of ditches and streams and in open deciduous forest.
