The Flax Museum tells you the fascinating story of flax in the Lys region. On the basis of 26 scenes and flat screens, you will discover the different stages of flax and the old treatments will come to life. In the second wing, you will be introduced to the most important finished products: linen, lace and damask. The museum illustrates the different types of lace, their evolution and the many local variants. Learn more about the Kortrijk damask and the use of lace and decorative linen in daily life.
