Description

INBO, the Institute for Nature and Forest Research, took care of all those strips, ribbons and numbers on the trees here!
The INBO is a scientific institution of the Flemish government. On the test plots around you, they grow poplar and willow. The trees are selected on the basis of:
• good rooting
• resistance to diseases
• vigour
•shape
• adaptation to our climate
• wood quality
The best trees are then grown on a large scale to be planted all over Flanders.
