Did you know that on 22 September 2008 the castle was bought by the artist Wim Delvoye during a public auction? Delvoye stated that he wanted to set up a museum of contemporary art in the castle. His own work would be exhibited, as well as that of artist friends. The co-owner, Marquis Olivier de Trazegnies, contacted Delvoye after the public sale and made a counter-offer; the marquis bought the castle back from Delvoye through a private limited company and donated the shares in the company to the Royal Society of Historic Residential Cities and Gardens of Belgium in 2010. Marquis Olivier de Trazegnies still inhabits it and has turned the castle into a center for cultural activities, seminars, etc.
