The "Norsk Sjømandskirke" or "Betlehemskirken" (see inscription), consecrated on 3 August 1870, is considered the oldest seamen's church still in service in the world. Today, the Norwegian Seamen's Church is one of the three still active, pastoral seamen's missions in Antwerp, along with the "Antwerp Seafarer's Centre", and the Finnish Seamen's Church, both also located on the Italiëlei.
