The Schelderomolen is a belt mill in the Belgian municipality of Schelderode. He is also called White Watchman. The flight has a diameter of 23 m, the top is 17 m above the ground floor. The mill is grinding, either on wind power or on electricity. On the spot where the mill stands there was a wooden standerdmolen from the 17th century. The last of these was replaced in 1907 by the current top crawler. In this type, only the mill cover is turned to the wind by means of crosses on cast iron wheels. The new mill was built in scrawny, very hard baked Scheldt stone. During the First World War he served as a military hospital. In 1989 the mill was purchased by the municipality of Merelbeke, protected as a monument in 1991 and made ready again in 1994.
