The oldest mill of this name was already mentioned in 1316 and later belonged to the lords of Grevenbroek. It was a banmill. It was located near Genenbroek, near the village of Achel. In 1474 there was mention of the Numolen in the vicinity of Grevenbroek Castle. In 1611 there was mention of a water mill that was located a few hundred meters west of the current location, near the current path De Bauwelkes, on the so-called Oude Beek, the old bed of the Warmbeek.
