The Church of Our Lady is the parish church of the West Flemish town of Pittem, located on the Markt.
The parish of Our Lady was probably founded as early as the 9th century. There is said to have been a wooden church, but it was not until around 1100 that a stone, Romanesque, church was erected. Of these, the tower has been preserved and, contrary to previous estimates, it is said to have been built in the 1st half of the 12th century. It was a three-aisled basilical church with a transept and a crossing tower. In the 14th century, side chapels were added, and in the 15th and 16th centuries, the church was gradually converted into a three-aisled hall church.
