Wal’Nord Tourisme is offering you the chance to go on an outing on a tandem bike and to go back in time to discover an old local game on the same afternoon. Starting in Tournai, cycle a circuit which is 35 km (21¾ miles) long. Over four hours, you will cycle through the countryside around Tournai to the village of Blandin, where the first Bishop of Tournai, Saint Eleutherius, once lived. Get off your bike and relax by playing La Bourle Carreaulée. This revisited version of French bowls “à la Tournaisienne” was a working-class game which originated in the north of France and which was still being played up to the start of the 20th Century. Price: €29 per person, including tandem rental and a drink. You have the option of bringing your own bike, in which case the price drops to €20 per person. Booking mandatory. Group package: €304 for 10 people. Extra charge of €61 per additional tandem (maximum: 16 people). Extra charge on Sundays and state holidays: €50. Option of customising the tour (in terms of date, time and place). A made-to-measure programme can also be created.
