The chapel in honour of "O.-L.-V.- Comforter of the Oppressed Women", is popularly known as 'Loncke's Chapel'. Until March 1, 1974, this chapel contained a beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary carved in oak and about 1m high. The O.-L.-V. carried the child Jesus on her left arm and a sceptre in her right. The baby Jesus kills the serpent with a spear cross staff. Both wore a crown. Unfortunately, the statue was stolen from the chapel in 1974.
