Description

Until the 1970s, the Hoge Dijken towered high above the low-lying polders. But when the Jabbeke-Veurne motorway was built, tons of sand were excavated and the old inner dune evolved into an artificial pond, better known as the 'Roksem Put'. Hence the pole of attraction for fluttering violence that comes to hibernate here. Come and discover the area via the footpath around the lake and observe the birds via the hides. On Wednesday and Sunday afternoons you can also visit the nature education centre De Grote Zaagbek for more information about the domain. It is also possible to explore with a guide!
