Description

This Christophorus was placed here on the occasion of the ku(n)stproject 2003 Beaufort, the 1st triennial for contemporary art by the sea. The wading youth has been made five times life-size. However, this man's torso has been transformed into a seat. This image thus becomes a compact reflection of the Christophorus figure, the legendary giant who carried pilgrims across a wide, dangerous river.
